How Can I See How Many Posts I Have Published in WordPress?

When you first start writing posts on your WordPress site you will probably have a good idea as to how many posts you have published. But as time goes by and you continue adding content to your site, you can easily lose track.

Eventually you may either be curious how many posts you have written, or someone may ask you. Fortunately there are a couple of different places where you can see the total number of posts on your site.

How to See the Number of Published Posts in WordPress

The steps in this article were performed in WordPress 5.2.2, but the steps are very similar in most other versions of WordPress as well.

Step 1: Sign into the admin section of your site at (yourdomain.com)/wp-admin.

Step 2: Locate the number of posts in the At a Glance section at the top of the Dashboard.

You can also view the number of posts by selecting the Posts tab at the left side of the window, then choosing the All Posts option.

At the top of this window are a number of different tabs that give you information about the different statuses of the posts you’ve published. You can click on any of those tabs to view the posts that fall into that category.

Did you try out a number of different themes when you set up your site, but you never removed them? Find out how to delete a theme in WordPress if you have some installed that you aren’t going to use again.
