How to Set a Static Home Page in WordPress

WordPress is a very versatile platform for creating website content. Many people think of it as blogging software, but it can be used for nearly any application for which someone might want to create a website.

It’s likely that your WordPress site is currently displaying your most recent posts on your home page. However, this is not the only option. Our guide below will show you how to adjust this setting so that you can select one of site’s other pages to show as the home page instead.

How to Show a Page Instead of Blog Posts on My Home Page in WordPress

The steps in this article were performed in the 5.2.2 version of WordPress.

Step 1: Sign into the admin section of your WordPress site at (yourdomain.com)/wp-admin.

Step 2: Hover over Settings in the left column, then choose the Reading option.

Step 3: Click the circle to the left of A static page, then click the dropdown menu to the right of Homepage and choose the desired option.

Step 4: Scroll to the bottom of the menu and click the Save Changes button.
